My Favorite Links to women who were much bolder than I who have already made that jump to share their passion. No matter what!
Kicking Ass Over Fifty. Really? Who does that? Well my good friend Liz does that's who. All of five foot and a teeny tiny bit she is a dynamo who has made that jump to live her passion. A culinary expert and fitness coach she tells her story. Over fifty nine by a few days....maybe a little more (I hope that is okay Liz!) and still gorgeous. She loves working with people who wish to stay healthy and fit especially as they mature.. She is an inspiration to us all. Here is another lady whom I have tremendous respect for and I met her while taking a couple of her workshops in Toronto. Her name is Sandra Wallin and she is quite an entrepreneur as well a survivor in her own right. The workshops that she teaches helped me to discoverer what it was that was holding me back and helped me to pursue my passion and courage to follow that dream. Books. Books. Books. I love to read. Especially those that help me grow and learn.
Here are some interesting reads. These are guaranteed to stretch your way of thinking or at the very least get you to question what we thought we knew.
Wishes Fulfilled - by Dr. Wayne Dyer ~~~ This mans story is truly inspirational and so is his advice and council. His content does make one think and re-think how we think. It is a book that I have read over and over as well as had me looking for more of his material. He had written many books about his subject and while he was alive was a very popular speaker. If you get a chance to hear him on You-Tube you will find him to be a very kind much loved speaker.
The Law Of Attraction - The Basic Teachings of Abraham - By Esther and Jerry Hicks ~~~ This one made me think... hugh? Esther Hicks relays the information from higher source. At the start of the book she describes how she got into doing it and how she does it now. It was all very new to me as I had never heard of such stuff but I had invested in the book so kept reading. I definitely was intrigued and as I kept reading, I found that it made a lot of sense to me. Logical sense and I followed their advice. It helped me realize how important our thoughts were. It definitely helped me and I bought multiple copies to give to others. This was one of the first books I read about thinking and how we think...... Watch her on You-tube
Mind Over Medicine - By Dr. Lissa Rankin ~~~ Gosh what can I say about this lady? I read and re-read her book. It was recommended to me by my friend Liz. This book describes Dr. Rankins journey as she navigated her own path that literally took her to a breaking point before she discovered she couldn't follow the norm in terms of Western medicine. She is a courageous lady who bravely decided her on her own way of looking after her patients. Read any of her books - Also check out her You-Tube
The Biology of Belief - By Dr. Bruce Lipton ~~~ I had downloaded this book to my Kobo to read at the airport and on a flight. I was annoyed when they called my flight because I had to put it down. This guy is very passionate and interesting to read. I have to admit that the science may have gone over my head the first few times that I read this book, but I truly needed to understand what he was saying. He breaks it right down to the cellular level how our thoughts impact those cute little critters that make up our bodies. Trillions of them by the way. Did you know that our brains are master chemists dependent on how we think? Oh and let's not mention how our thoughts affect the protiens and trigger the genes. It made a lot of sense and I am a huge fan. If you want to see how passionate he is about his topic then you must see him on You-Tube as well.
